Biography //

Alan has had a career as a people developer for more than 20 years, including coaching since 2004. He began as a trainer in a fast-paced call centre environment, developing his own and others’ customer service skills. Alan moved to a public sector organisation for 7 years as part of the HR function. Whilst there he programme managed leadership development initiatives for the top 40 leaders and the wider management population.

Alan has since spent his career as a consultant partnering with many clients. He spent 5 years with a global HR solutions provider where he used behavioural profiling and feedback to develop clients. Alan joined Complete Coherence in 2012 where he has focused on building long-term client relationships and growing our team of practitioners.

Track record //

Alan’s coaching and facilitation experience covers a broad range of industries including financial services, retail, FMCG, professional services, pharmaceuticals, transport, engineering and the public sector. He has developed people internationally working with leaders in Europe, Asia, Australasia and North America. Alan is particularly skilled at enabling leaders to successfully transition into new roles and accelerating a team’s development to breakthrough to new levels of performance.

Style //

Alan is warmly collaborative, combined with a disarming ability to challenge more firmly than expected, whilst still being compassionate. He encourages clients to be curious and to experiment with new ideas and practices. Alan guides clients to a much deeper self-awareness and purposefulness to reinvigorate their capacity to perform. He believes passionately that people and teams can evolve and enjoys engaging clients in their own transformation, so that they can lead at a new level.

Qualifications //

Alan completed a Psychology of Coaching Certificate with the Academy of Executive Coaching in 2011. He is currently upgrading his former coaching accreditation to a new professional body. In 2013/14 Alan studied integral theory through the Generating Transformative Change programme with Pacific Integral. He graduated with a BSc in Zoology and an MSc in Water Pollution Control.
